Sportify your BBQ

Welcome sports innovators to the future of sport.

Summer’s here and the BBQ’a are a firing! We wanted to create a fun atmosphere at home, and realised there is a under-represented part of sport that rarely gets mentioned - home games. Fun, physically active and incredibly addictive:

Elakai: Outdoor Cornhole Boards

Bags (also known regionally as sack toss, or Cornhole) is a lawn game popular in North America in which players or teams take turns throwing fabric bean bags at a raised, angled board with a hole in its far end. The goal of the game is to score points by either landing a bag on the board (one point) or putting a bag through the hole (three points).

Elakai: Bocce Ball

Bocce is a ball sport belonging to the boules family. Developed into its present form in Italy, it is closely related to British bowls and French pétanque, with a common ancestry from ancient games played in the Roman Empire. Bocce is played around western, southern and southeastern Europe, as well as in overseas areas with historical Italian immigrant population, including Australia, North America, and South America, principally Argentina and the southern Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul. Initially played just by the Italian immigrants, the game has slowly become more popular with their descendants and more broadly.

Uber Kubb

Since starting life in Sweden, Kubbs quickly became a popular throwing game the world over, and is the ideal way to spend a summer’s afternoon with a glass of something ice-cold in hand. Use the wooden corner poles to mark out your pitch and prepare for a Scandi-inspired sporting showdown.

The objective is to knock down the cuboid pieces – called ‘knights’ – by throwing the circular blocks – named ‘Kubbs’ – underarm from a few metres away. Our Kubb set is made from varnished hardwood, which not only gives it an eye-catching finish but also added durability.

Kan Jam

Kan Jam (sometimes spelled kanjam, KanJam, or Kan-Jam) is a flying disc game, played with a flying disc and two cans into which players deflect the disc. Teams of two players take turns tossing a disc between two plastic cans, scoring points if the disc hits or is deflected into one of the cans. The game is played to a target score of exactly 21, but a team can also win if a player throws the disc through the slot or top of a can without the help of their teammate.
