Specialized has unleashed a new-fangled tech called Compliance Junction to give you the smoothest ride since your mom's station wagon. It's like a secret handshake between the seat stays and top tube, allowing the frame to flex and absorb bumps like a sponge.

The technology is built into the frame of the Sirrus X range of bikes, which also includes a Future Shock suspension system on the front end. The Future Shock system provides 20mm of suspension travel, while Compliance Junction adds an additional 6mm of travel to the rear of the bike, resulting in a smoother ride on rough terrain.

Moveable cleats as you ride

Hold on to your cleats, folks! Shimano, the cycling giant, has cooked up a patent for an automatic cleat adapter system that makes self-driving cars look like old news.

Your cycling shoe is now a walking, talking data center.

It collects information from sensors in your shoes, smartwatch, and bike, which is then analyzed by the controller. This fancy gadget moves your cleats to different positions based on the data it receives. The target position changes as your power output, speed, and even GPS coordinates change. And get this, it's optimized for different road conditions, too!

Who needs a bike fitter when you can have a virtual one right under your toes? We don't know about you, but we're all in on this revolutionary system... just as soon as we finish reading the patent document.
